After placing sight words on index cards all over the house, after my then 4-year-old artist right-brained daughter voiced her desire to try to learn to read, we moved on to BOB books and she worked her way through the series rather quickly. The books are simple, visual, and offer the child a chance to match the word with the illustration on that page. These books are quite affordable, too. ~Mar
